    The Tigers took two games from the Fighting Scots by the sore of 2-0 and 6-4 on their way to an impressive 15-1 mark in NCAC league play. The Tigers reward is the #1 seed in the 2018 NCAC Tournament, as well homefield advantage as this year’s tournament will be played at Wittenberg on May 4 and May 5.

    In two appearances, Zang posted a 2-0 record in the circle for the Tigers. In 14 innings pitched, Zang recorded a 1.29 ERA with five strikeouts, allowing 12 hits and two earned runs.

    The Tigers took down the previously undefeated DePauw Tigers on their home turf 7-5 and 8-4. While game two was called due to darkness, the Tigers lead for the majority. Game one featured a Wittenberg comeback that took the wind out of DePauw’s sails for the remainder of the day.
  • 18 Run First Inning and Combined No-No Highlight Sweep

    Wittenberg swept Kenyon College in historic fashion on Friday afternoon, as Chelsea Zang and Katelyn Niswonger pitched a combined no-hitter for the Tigers. The 19-0 win over Kenyon served as the second Tiger no-hitter of the season, and the second of the week for that matter, as Wittenberg’s offense quite possibly out shined their efforts in the circle on Friday.

The Tigers were set to face off against Alma for the home-opener in Springfield on Saturday, but winter-like weather graced the Springfield area, calling for the home-opener to be postponed, as the team traveled to Alma for their first games since a successful Arizona Spring Break trip.

    Wittenberg softball concluded a successful Spring Break trip to Arizona with two decisive victories over Rockford University and Bethany Lutheran. The Tigers stomped Rockford 10-2 in game one, before Abby Haab tossed a one-hitter in an 11-0 win against Bethan Lutheran.
