Field Renovations Cancel Oct. 27 Prospect Camp
The Wittenberg baseball prospect camp scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 27, has been canceled due to renovations at Carleton Davidson Stadium.
Renovations at Carleton Davidson Stadium, the home of Wittenberg University baseball, have necessitated the cancelation of the team's prospect camp schedule for Sunday, Oct. 27.
The prospect camp scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, remains open for registration, as well as the 2014 skills camps. Links to more information about both are available below.
The Wittenberg baseball coaching staff led by head coach Jay Lewis has scheduled a number of skills camps during the 2013-14 school year for youth interested in furthering their abilities.
Skills camps provide one-on-one instruction to players age seven and up in hitting, pitching and catching with Lewis, former Major League pitcher and local legend Rick White, and former Wittenberg standout and current assistant coach Matt Steinke. A prospect camp for high school players offers individual instruction in all phases of the game with the same experienced coaching staff.
