SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—After splitting with the Tigers of DePauw on Saturday, the Tigers of Wittenberg could not pull out a series victory on Sunday, as the Tigers fell to DePauw 8-7 and 16-4. The Tigers clawed back to tie the game up in game one after being down 6-2, but could not fend off the DePauw offense. Wittenberg falls to 8-12 overall, and 3-5 in NCAC play.
GAME ONE SCORING BREAKDOWN
Bottom 3rd
- Freshman backstop Patrick Kenny singled the other way to left field, plating Matt Baker and Brad Malott, as the Tigers jumped out to an early 2-1 lead.
Bottom 7th
- Trailing 6-2, the comeback was on, as Baker doubled to down the left field line, scoring Ryan Probst and Aaron Fasano.
- Kenny followed up with a double of his own, scoring Baker, as Josh Kaplan also doubled a batter later, scoring Kenny as the Tigers trailed 7-6.
