Wittenberg Baseball Earns ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award

The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) has announced that more than 800 member high school and college programs nationwide have been recognized for outstanding academic performance with 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Awards, presented by Sports Attack. Wittenberg was among the nearly 500 college programs to garner the recognition.

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award honors member programs that posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

In addition to excellence in the classroom, the Tigers put together a tremendous 2026 season on the field as well. Wittenberg posted an overall record of 31-13, finished second in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) regular season standings, were runner-up in the NCAC Tournament, and earned a berth in the NCAA Division III Tournament for the first time since 1994.
