Coach Himsworth is in his 4th season with the Wittenberg Tigers and is in charge of the development of the Tiger infielders while serving as the team’s first base coach. He also works with the hitters and the defense as a whole. He has been on staff for the entire Coach McGee era at Wittenberg and has played an instrumental role in the progression of the program. In 2019, he helped the program accomplish their most conference wins since 2011 & most regular-season wins since 2013.
Under Himsworth's tutelage, the Tigers' defense has twice found the top 8 all-time rank in program history with a .955 fielding % in 2019 (3rd) & a .952 fielding % in 2017 (7th). Offensively, the Tigers blossomed in 2019 to hit 24 home runs, the most since 2003. He has guided several Tigers position players to all-conference awards. Most recently, Jack Hollinshead led the Tigers' offense, hitting .419/.500/.629, a clip that put him at 43rd in the entire country. He would go on to be selected as 2nd team All-NCAC. Jack Siefert also received Honorable Mention NCAC as a 1st Baseman after leading the team in home runs with 6 and hitting .324. In 2017, C Patrick Kenny and OF Matt Baker both were selected the honorable mention All-NCAC. Kenny hit .407 with 3 home runs and Baker hit .348 with 1 home run. As a team the Tigers offense has progress each year: .280 (2017), .285 (2018), .294 (2019).
Himsworth graduated high school from Vandalia-Butler in 2009 where he holds the single-season fielding percentage record of 1.000% in 124 chances as an infielder. He graduated from Notre Dame College in 2014 where he was a four-year member of the Falcons infield. Received his Business Administration and Sport Management degrees from Notre Dame College, while also picking up a minor in Entrepreneurship. He is also the Director of Player Development for a Dayton based summer program called the Miami Valley Prospects where he has helped over 100 players reach all different levels of college baseball.
