Five Tigers Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Five Wittenberg football players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Football Academic All-District Team for the 2025 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performance on the field and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 while meeting athletic participation requirements.
In football, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution’s games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution’s games. Selected Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot (noted by asterisk on release from CSC). First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on January 27.
The five Wittenberg players selected were seniors Hayden Olcott (Delaware, OH / Olentangy) and Luke Jackson (DeGraff, OH / Indian Lake) and juniors Zach Chambers (Indianapolis, IN / Southport), Cameron Casto (Washington Court House, OH / Miami Trace) and Dalton Allen (Delaware, OH / Hayes).
Olcott, a punter, is a sport management major with a 3.87 GPA. This past season, Olcott was named second-team All-NCAC. He appeared in nine of the team’s 10 games and broke into the record books with a top-10 longest punt with a 67-yard boot against DePauw.
Jackson, a defensive back, is a mathematics major with a 3.88 GPA. Jackson was named first-team All-NCAC and was recognized by D3football.com with third-team All-Region honors. Jackson led the conference in tackles with 109 and solo tackles with 49 over his 10 starts. He logged double-digit tackles five times and had 14 or more three times, reaching 20 total tackles against John Carroll.
Chambers, an offensive lineman, is an accounting and management double major with a 3.73 GPA. Chambers played in all 10 games this season after appearing in nine his sophomore season. He also logged a tackle in the season finale against Kenyon.
Casto, an offensive lineman, is an environmental science major with a 3.71 GPA. For the second year in a row, Casto played in all 10 games for the Tigers and served as long snapper at times throughout the season as well.
Allen, a defensive lineman, is a physics and mathematics double major with a 3.83 GPA. Allen started all 10 games for the Tigers and was named second-team All-NCAC. Over his 10 games played, Allen was tied for third on the team in sacks with 2.5, while being tied for third in tackles for loss as well.
The Tiger football team finished sixth in the NCAC regular season standings with a 3-5 record, while going 4-6 overall.
