Granville, OH- The Tigers continued their series of road matches in Granville, OH as they took on the Big Red from Denison. Wittenberg put up a fight and left Denison scoreless in two quarters but ultimately fell with a score of 2-0. The Tigers were able to get seven shots off and draw four penalty corners, being led by senior Allison Ormsby. In goal for the Tigers was Emma Hurguy with six saves on the day after facing eight shots on goal. Hurguy currently stands at number five in the NCAC for saves this season with 15.
Head Coach, Bronwen Gainsford said "despite the loss today, I was happy to see a strong game from the Tigers. We saw elements that we worked on at practice in the game that helped us generate attack. We are continuing to develop game to game and are ready for the next chance to compete." The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday for their home opener against Earlham at 7PM.
