RICHMOND, IN - Concordia Wisconsin scored three goals in a six-minute span to secure a 3-1 win over Wittenberg Field Hockey in a game played at Earlham College.
The loss dropped Wittenberg to 0-5 on the season, while Concordia improved to 3-1.
Concordia first dented the scoreboard at the 27:38 mark after the two teams had battled to a scoreless draw in the first quarter. Concordia added another goal just 34 seconds later to take a 2-0 lead into the halftime break, and then the Falcons put the game out of reach with a goal 4:18 into the third quarter.
Wittenberg pulled a goal back in the 43rd minute as Aysha Johnson (Kettering, OH / Fairmont) found the back of the cage. Johnson's goal was unassisted.
