Granville, OH – The Wittenberg University Men's Basketball team traveled to Denison University, falling to the Big Red, 78-56. The Tiger offense was led by Jerry Saunders Jr. tallying 20 points. Saunders Jr. knocked down 5 of 13 from the field, converting on all seven attempts from the foul line. Wittenberg shot 36% from the floor on the night.
Wittenberg trailed by five at the break, 33-28. As the Tigers knocked down 42 percent of their shots through the first 20-minutes of action. Denison had the friendly roll on their home floor, shooting better than 45 percent and 50 percent in each half.
Ethan Connery went 4 for 4 from the floor, adding eight points with two rebounds and a steal for the Tiger's. Trey Killens, Cooper Lewis and Daniel Asher each added six points for the Wittenberg offense. Killens grabbed a team-high seven rebounds on the night.

Wittenberg will return to action on Saturday, January 7, traveling to Oberlin College. Tipoff against the Yeomen is set for 2:00 pm.
