Tigers Picked To Finish Sixth In NCAC Preseason Poll
The Wittenberg men's basketball team was picked up to finish sixth in a preseason poll of North Coast Athletic Conference coaches.
Cleveland, Ohio - Wittenberg University men's basketball was picked to finish sixth in a North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) preseason poll, based on votes submitted by league coaches. Wabash was chosen as the favorite with eight first-place votes and 80 total points, followed by Wooster (70), Denison (63), DePauw (51), Ohio Wesleyan (44), and the Tigers (41).
Wittenberg is coming off a 2022-23 season that ended with records of 13-12 overall and 9-7 in the NCAC. The Tigers return a trio of starters from that team: senior Jeff Queen (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle), senior Daniel Asher (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli), and junior Trey Killens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason), in addition to key rotation players Cameron Harrison (Eaton, Ohio/National Trail) and Eddie Brown (Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy Orange).
Wittenberg kicks off the 2023-24 season with a trip to Tennessee for the Sewanee's Lon Varnell Classic and games against Covenant and Bob Jones on November 10-11. The Tigers' home opener takes place at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 14, against Wilmington.
