Four Men's Basketball Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Four Wittenberg men's basketball players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Basketball Academic All-District Team for the 2025-26 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in academic and athletic standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 while meeting athletic participation requirements.
In basketball, student-athletes must compete in 90% of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66% of games. Selected Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot (noted by asterisk on release from CSC). First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 14.
The four players selected are seniors Cal Bavineau (Dexter, MI / Dexter) and Dawson Scott (New Castle, IN New Castle), junior Tyler Galluch (Springfield, OH Catholic Central), and sophomore Spence Davidson (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon).
Bavineau, a guard, is a finance major with a 3.73 GPA. He played in 27 games and started 22 of them. On the season Bavineau averaged 3.5 points per game and 2.4 rebounds per game while shooting 38.6% from the field. In his senior year, he totaled 95 points and 64 total rebounds while finishing his collegiate career with more than 100 points, rebounds, and assists.
Scott, a forward, majors in management with a 3.94 GPA. He played in 27 games and started all 27 of them. This past season, Scott averaged 5.7 points per game and 6.4 rebounds per game while shooting 56.3% and was a vital point of the Tigers defense throughout the season. He totaled more than 150 points on the season and more tan 170 rebounds, which was second on the team.
Galluch, a forward, is an accounting major with a 3.85 GPA. He played in 22 games and started in 21 of them. Galluch was first on the team in points per game with 12.8, shooting 47.2% from the field and 83.6% from the line to lead the team as well, all while also averaging 3.7 rebounds per game. He scored more than 280 points on the season and logged more than 80 rebounds.
Davidson, a guard, majors in finance and has a 4.0 GPA. He played in 25 total games and started four of them. Davidson scored more than 90 points on the season and ended the season with 40 assists and more than 40 rebounds. Over the course of the season, he was one of the top three non-starters in scoring for the Tigers.
