Men's Basketball Picked Eighth in NCAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
CLEVELAND, OH - Wittenberg Men's Basketball was picked to finish eighth in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) in the 2025 Preseason Coaches' Poll, which was released on Wednesday.
The Tigers received 21 votes in the poll to rank eighth out of nine teams. Denison took first, receiving six of nine first place votes and totaling 76 points. In second was John Carroll with a single first place vote and 66 total points, followed by Wooster ranked third with 60 points, DePauw in fourth, and Wabash in fifth. DePauw and Wabash each collected one first place vote each.
The Tigers finished 9-16 overall and placed seventh in the NCAC with a 5-11 mark last season. Led by second year head coach Darren Hertz, the Tigers kick off their season at Otterbein on Nov. 8 before the 2025-26 home opener on Nov. 12 against Baldwin Wallace. Wittenberg will open NCAC play on Dec. 3 with an road game at Ohio Wesleyan.
