Tigers Earn Team and Individual Honors From NABC
SPRINGFIELD, OH - Wittenberg Men’s Basketball standouts Cal Bavineau (Dexter, MI / Dexter), Eddie Brown (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange), Dawson Scott (New Castle, IN / New Castle) and Tyler Galluch (Springfield, OH / Catholic Central) have been named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Honors Court for the 2025-26 season, while the team earned the NABC Team Academic Award.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. This year, over 2,300 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court and over 400 programs received NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards for 2025-26.
A senior guard with a 3.76 GPA, Bavineau played all 27 games throughout the season, starting 22 of them. He led the team with 46 assists and ranked fourth on the team in rebounds. In the 2025-26 season, Bavineau averaged 18.9 minutes, 3.5 points, 1.7 assists and 2.4 rebounds per game.
A senior forward with a 3.35 GPA, Brown played and started all 27 games for the Tigers. He led the team in minutes and rebounds, was second in shooting percentage, and was third in points per game. Over the course of the season, he averaged 29.9 minutes, 10.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.
Dawson Scott, another senior forward, boasts a 3.95 GPA. He started all 27 games as well and was second on the team in rebounds while leading the way in offensive boards. In the 2025-26 season, Scott averaged 27.4 minutes, 5.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 0.7 steals per game.
A junior forward with a 3.85 GPA, Galluch started 21 of the 22 games he played for the Tigers. He led the team in scoring and was third in rebounds, all while ranking fourth in minutes per game. At the end of the season, Galluch averaged 24.5 minutes, 12.8 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game.
The Tiger men’s basketball team finished the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 18-9 and went 10-6 in conference play, good enough for a fourth place finish in the NCAC.
