Four Tigers Earn 2026 Men's Golf All-NCAC Awards
Cleveland, OH - Four Wittenberg men's golf student-athletes and the Tiger coaching staff were honored with 2026 All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors.
Sophomore Mikey Schutte (Cincinnati, OH / Elder) was named first-team All-NCAC after earning second-team honors in 2025. Schutte, who was a second-team All-NCAC selection in 2025, leads the Tigers in scoring average and ranks 60th nationally. He has also earned 2026 PING All-Region V and has qualified to compete in the NCAA Division III Tournament as an individual after competing as part of a qualifying team a year ago.
Sophomore Mitch Bolte (Newark, OH / Newark) and senior Mark Sulek (Delaware, OH / Hayes) were named second-team All-NCAC. Bolte was the 2025 NCAC Newcomer of the Year and a first-team selection as well. Sulek earned first team in 2023 to go along with his 2026 award. Sophomore Alex Rath (Dublin, OH / Scioto) earned third-team All-NCAC, which is the first postseason honor of his collegiate career.
Wittenberg just missed out on an at-large berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament after finishing second in the NCAC Championships on May 2. The Tigers finished the 2025-26 season ranked 29th nationally and sixth in the region in scoring average. Wittenberg won one tournament and finished in the top three in six other competitions.
While the Tigers will not be participating in the 2026 NCAA Division III Tournament as a team, Schutte will represent Wittenberg as an individual. He will join more than 200 players in the event, hosted this year by Oglethorpe University at Mission Inn Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, May 12-15.
The Tigers had made four straight NCAA Division III Tournament appearances and have qualified to play in the national event 30 times in program history. The 2017 NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Champion, Wittenberg finished 16th in last year's NCAA Division III Men's Golf Championships.
