Schutte Named NCAC Men's Golf Athlete of the Week

Sophomore Mikey Schutte (Cincinnati, OH/Elder) tied for second overall at the GolfWeek October Classic, helping the Tigers to a runner-up team finish in a 24-team field that featured eight nationally ranked programs and five receiving votes. Competing on a par-71, 6,606-yard course, the sophomore posted rounds of 71 (E), 72 (+1), and 64 (-7) for a three-round total of 207, finishing six under par. Schutte’s final-round 64 established a new Wittenberg record for the lowest individual round in program history. In addition, his 136 (72-64) tied for the fifth-lowest two-round score in school history, while his three-round total tied for the fourth-lowest mark. As a team, Wittenberg set program records for the lowest single-round score (273) and the lowest three-round total (851).
