Wittenberg Offense Stymied By Western New England

SYLVAN LAKE, Fla. - The Wittenberg Tigers are making strides under first-year Head Coach George Harris, but they were still no match for nationally ranked Western New England. In their second and final Spring Break game, the Tigers dropped a 10-1 decision.
The loss dropped Wittenberg to 1-2 on the young season, while WNEC improved to 3-0.
Wittenberg's lone goal was scored in the second period by senior Cory Windle, off an assist from sophomore Mike Provost. That came after WNEC took a commanding 5-0 lead in the first quarter. After holding WNEC scoreless in the second quarter, the Tigers allowed another five goals in a lop-sided second half.
Junior goalkeeper Pat Garlock went the distance in goal for Wittenberg, fending off 36 shots and making eight saves.
