SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg sophomore Dillon McKeigue (Olmsted Township, Ohio/St. Edwards) was named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week for the week of April 22-28.
The marks the first such honor of McKeigue's career, and it comes after he put together an impressive week capped by a record-breaking performance at Westminster.
In what marked the final week of the Tigers' 2024 season, McKeigue recorded a combined 17 points on 14 goals and three assists in a 19-4 win over Wabash and a 19-8 victory at Westminster.
He tallied a team-high five goals against Wabash and recorded 12 points on nine goals and three assists against Westminster. His goal and point totals against Westminster were both career highs, and he broke Wittenberg's all-time single-game points record, which had been 11 set by Jeff Mayer in 1990.
McKeigue played in 12 games this season and finished the year leading the team in points (48) and goals (37) while ranking second in assists (11). He ranks third in the NCAC in goals per game (3.08).
Wittenberg finished the season at 8-5 overall and sixth in the NCAC with a 3-5 league record.
