Tiger Men's Lacrosse Looks Ahead to Promising 2026 Campaign
Despite graduating 12 seniors, Wittenberg Men’s Lacrosse returns a solid nucleus of talented players motivated to get back into contention in the challenging North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC).
On offense, senior Dillon McKeigue (Olmstead Township, OH / St. Edward), is back in the lineupafter compiling a team-leading 37 goals and 21 assists a year ago. He tallied 58 points after taking 96 shots, 67 of which were on goal, to also lead the team. Fellow seniors Ty Harris (Cincinnati, OH / Sycamore) and Ethan Pac (Greenwood, IN / Cathedral) are also back for the Tigers after Harris scored 13 goals and dished out eight assists, and Pac finished with 21 goals and 10 assists for 31 points. The Tigers are also fortunate to be returning goalkeeper Chase Singleton (Springboro, OH / Springboro), who started 12 of the Tigers’ 14 games a year ago, registering 94 saves and 139 goals against.
Other top returners include seniors Charlie Boucuvalas (Oakwood, OH / Oakwood), Quentin Rudolph (Grand Rapids, MI / Forest Hills Central), Jacob Turney (Waynesville, OH / Springboro), and Tripp Salowich (Plymouth, MI / Canton), along with juniors Ethan Amidon (Rochester, NY / Brighton), Charlie Frederick (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls), and Clay Habben (Shawnee, KS / Shawnee Mission Northwest), and sophomores Mikey Clark (Hilliard, OH / Davidson) and Andrew Owen (Springfield, OH / Springfield).
The Tigers are again under the direction of Jay Owen, who took over the program in 2013 and was NCAC Coach of the Year in 2017. He has coached 30 Tigers to All-NCAC honors and 27 players to NCAC Academic Honor Roll Awards as head coach. Two Tigers have earned first-team all-region honors, and one Tiger earned an invitation to the Division III North-South All-Star Game.
Wittenberg will open the 2026 season by hosting Trine on Saturday, Feb. 14, at 2 p.m. at Edwards-Maurer Field. NCAC play begins on March 21 when the Tigers host Wooster at 1 p.m. The 16-game schedule includes eight conference matches and eight non-conference games against Trine, Marietta, Adrian, Chatham, Muskingum, Rhodes, Otterbein, and Albion.
Wittenberg will also host a Tiger Top 44 camp on Sunday, Feb. 15, at The Steemer, part of the Health, Wellness & Athletics Complex. The camp is designed to mimic the competitive environment, playing style, and coaching philosophy of the Wittenberg lacrosse teams. Participating players will have the opportunity to work directly with Wittenberg coaches, current players and meet other recruits who could potentially one day be a teammate.
