Tiger Soccer Teams Earn United Soccer Coaches Academic Awards

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Wittenberg’s men's and women's soccer teams have both earned Team Academic Awards from United Soccer Coaches for the 2024-25 academic year.

A total of 697 college soccer teams (283 men, 414 women) qualified for the recognition. Each of those teams recorded a cumulative team grade point average of 3.0 or higher through the conclusion of the 2024-25 academic year. Wittenberg is one of 151 schools to have both the men's and women's programs recognized.

Led by Head Coach Dwight Burgess, Wittenberg's men's soccer team finished 4-7-3 overall in 2024 and 2-4-2 in the NCAC, good for a sixth-place finish.

Led by Head Coach Katie Robinson, Wittenberg's women's soccer team finished fourth in the NCAC regular season standings with a 3-2-2 record in 2024. Wittenberg topped regular season champion Denison in the NCAC Tournament semifinals before falling in the championship game to host DePauw by a 2-1 score. The Tigers posted an overall record of 6-5-5.
