SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers opened a new era with a 5-4 victory over Northwestern Ohio at the Albright Tennis Complex. It was the first victory in Head Coach Justin Stuckey's career.
The two teams split the six singles matches, with the other Tiger winners being freshman Stephane Antwi (Rosedale, NY/Monsignor McClancy Memorial) at No. 3 by a 6-1, 6-3 score and junior Rob Lehner (Gahanna, Ohio/St. Francis DeSales)at No. 6 by a 6-3, 6-4 score.
In doubles, Wittenberg also picked up a win from the No. 1 tandem of senior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe) and sophomore Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) by an 8-3 score.
