HILTON HEAD, S.C. - The Wittenberg Tigers improved to 4-0 on their southern swing, capturing their fourth straight lop-sided decision, 9-0 over Hood College.
The win moved the Tigers to 7-1 on the season, matching their win total from the last two seasons combined. They have two more Spring Break matches remaining - against Colby-Sawyer at 8 a.m. Thursday, March 12, and against Marian at 12:30 p.m. Friday, March 13.
A doubles sweep set the stage for the dominating win. Double-winners on the day included senior Brad Seymour (Chillicothe, Ohio/Chillicothe), sophomore Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln), freshmanStephane Antwi (Rosedale, NY/Monsignor McClancy Memorial) and junior Andy Lamb (Bluffton, Ohio/Bluffton). Only Antwi was challenged, as he was pushed into a 10-point tiebreaker to determine the third set.
