Big Day For Tiger Men With Wins Over Otterbein, Cedarville
The Wittenberg men's tennis team added two wins to the column Saturday with home victories over Otterbein and Cedarville. The wins opened the dual-match schedule for the Tigers, where they now stand 2-0 on the season.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — The Wittenberg men's tennis team added two wins to the column Saturday with home victories over Otterbein and Cedarville. The wins opened the dual-match schedule for the Tigers, where they now stand 2-0 on the season.
The men opened the day with an 8-1 win over Otterbein, starting with a sweep of the doubles portion. Junior Stephane Antwi (Rosedale, NY/McClancy Memorial) and senior Rob Lehner (Westerville, Ohio/DeSales) teamed up for an 8-5 win in No. 1 doubles, followed by an 8-2 victory for senior Bobby Fisher (Gahanna, Ohio/Lincoln) and freshman Tyler Strong (Louisville, Ky./DuPoint Manual) in No. 2. Sophomore Sergio Fishkin (Minsk, Belarus) and freshman Sam Wilke (Cincinnati, Ohio/Turpin) picked up the third 8-1.
Antwi, Fisher and Strong all won their singles matches in tiebreakers at spots one, two and four respectively, rounded out by a 6-1, 6-1 victory by Wilke at fifth and a 6-2, 6-4 win from freshman Jonathan Mueller (Bexley, Ohio/Bexley).
The Tigers took two of three matchups in doubles to start things off against Cedarville, led by Strong and Fisher with an 8-0 win at No. 2 and Wilke and Fishkin at No. 3 with an 8-2 victory.
Fishkin, Fisher, Strong and Wilke went on to win their singles matches, each finishing off four-win days. Freshman Joseph Marra (Great Falls, Mont./Great Falls) also picked up a win in fourth singles 6-4, 6-4.
The Tigers prepare next for a trip to Kalamazoo, Mich., where they will participate in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional hosted by Kalamazoo on Friday, Sept. 24, through Monday, Sept. 27.
