ORLANDO, Fla. - The Wittenberg Tigers kicked off their annual Spring Break trip with an 8-1 loss to Berry.
The loss dropped Wittenberg to 1-2 on the 2014-15 season. Berry improved to 2-0.
Playing without two top players, Wittenberg was swept in the doubles competition. Moving to singles, the Tigers battled back to win at the No. 1 position as senior Alexey Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia/School 712) was a 6-4, 6-4 winner.
The Spring Break adventure continues for Wittenberg on Tuesday, March 10, with a match against St. Scholastica. It is the second of five matches scheduled for the Tigers in sunny Florida.
