GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Wittenberg Tigers dropped a 9-0 decision to North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) West Division match to 25th-ranked DePauw in their first outdoor competition of the spring to take place north of the Mason-Dixon line.
The loss was Wittenberg's sixth in a row to drop the Tigers to 1-7 on the 2014-15 season.
The visiting Tigers managed just two games in the three doubles matches. In singles, Wittenberg was defeated soundly at five positions, but senior Alexey Topolyanskiy (Moscow, Russia/School 712) battled well at No. 1, taking the match to a decisive third-set tiebreaker before suffering defeat.
