Wittenberg men's tennis nearly blanked the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern over the weekend, as the Tigers improved to 8-3 in 2016-17.

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio—Wittenberg men's tennis nearly blanked the Polar Bears of Ohio Northern over the weekend, as the Tigers improved to 8-3 in 2016-17. Wittenberg has been on a roll as of late, commanding matches from start to finish and putting in a tremendous amount of effort throughout the week.
Coach Eby Day and her team saw Martin Mora win in number one doubles with his partner Luke Minard, 8-4, and then win again in number one singles 6-0, 6-1.
The Tigers only loss came in number four singles, as Minard played the most competitive match of the afternoon in number two singles, coming out on top 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.
Sean Munson also produced a thrilling match for the Tigers, this time out of the number five singles position, 7-5, 1-6, 11-9.
Wittenberg is back in action on Friday, March 31 against NCAC foe Wooster.
