Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Tennis team picked up a 6-3 North Coast Athletic Conference win over the Wabash Little Giants on Saturday afternoon. The Tiger's were forced to come back after doubles action, dropping two of three courts to the Little Giants.
Wittenberg picked up their first win of the afternoon from the pairing of Jake Stockhausen and Joe Patton on the second court. Wittenberg found their groove on the singles courts, taking 5 of 6 singles matches from the Little Giants. John DeVito picked up a three-set victory on the second court with a 7-6, 3-6, 6-3 win. Mark Trinka had a three-set battle on the sixth singles court for Wittenberg. Trinka earned the win by a final score of 6-1, 3-6, 6-2. Ethan Libby worked for his straight set victory on the fifth singles court with a 7-6 win in the first set, before taking the final set 6-3.
