Four Tennis Athletes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Multiple athletes from the Wittenberg tennis teams earned Academic All-District Honors from College Sport Communicators. From the men's team, Ethan Libby (Loveland, OH / Loveland) was selected and on the women's side, Caroline Sproule (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange), Celeste Hartings (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) and Marin Summers (Columbus, OH / Hilliard Davidson) were recognized for the combination of their athletic and academic achievements.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the top student-athletes from around the nation in their respective sports that show thier impressive performances both in competition and in the classroom. To earn Academic All-District, student-athletes must be a sophomore or higher in both athletic and academic standing and must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher and have been part of the lineup for at least 70% of their team's matches.
Libby is a psychology major and has a 3.91 GPA and earned third-team All-NCAC honors in singles as well. In the 2024-25 season, Libby ended with a 5-17 singles record and went 6-15 in doubles throughout the season as the Tigers compiled a final record of 1-18. Sproule is a biochestry/molecular biology major with a 3.62 GPA. This past season, she earned first-team All-NCAC in singles and third-team All-NCAC in doubles after compiling a singles record of 12-7 and a doubles record of 6-6 as the team ended the season at 0-15 overall. Hartings is also a biochemistry/molecular biology major who boasts a 3.56 GPA. She went 1-14 in singles matches this season, while also finishing the doubles matches at 0-15 in her first season as a regular in the lineup. Summers is an art major with a 3.89 GPA and took home a 0-15 singles and doubles record while also competing as a starter for the whole season for the first time.
Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on June 3 for women's and 4 for men's.
