Bio
Wonwoo Shon joined the Tiger coaching staff in 2012. Shon has extensive experience in all facets of the game, from coaching to equipment and service, including time as an assistant teaching professional at the Heritage Tennis Club in Arlington Heights, Ill., and at the Royal Melbourne Country Club in Chicago. Shon, a current member of the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), founded and served as president of the Illini International Tennis Club in Champaign, Ill., and in 2007 received certification as a professional from the USPTA and Sport Science Level I from the United States Tennis Association.
Shon is a 2000 graduate of Kyung-Hee University in Seoul, Korea, with a bachelor’s degree in architectural engineering. He also earned a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from Illinois in 2003, as well as a bachelor’s degree with a triple major in business, marketing and professional tennis management from Ferris State in 2007.
