Men Picked Second, Women Fourth in NCAC Indoor Track and Field Pre-Championship Poll

CLEVELAND, OH – The Wittenberg Track and Field teams are among the top half of the field in the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Pre-Indoor Championships Coaches Poll released Wednesday, February 18. Wittenberg's men are picked to finish second, while the women were picked to place fourth.
In the men's poll, Wittenberg claimed the second spot with three first-place votes and 70 total points. John Carroll was picked to finish first with six first-place votes and 77 points, while Ohio Wesleyan finished third with 69 points. In the women's poll, Ohio Wesleyan was picked to finish first with four first-place votes and 60 total points, just ahead of John Carroll with four first-place votes and 59 points, and DePauw was third with 49 points.
The championships are scheduled to take place Friday-Saturday, Feb. 27-Feb. 28, at Wittenberg, after the combined events (heptathlon and pentathlon) take place Saturday-Sunday, February 21-22, at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio.
The Tigers have had an outstanding 2025-26 indoor season, with numerous school records broken for both the men and women. Heading into the championships, Wittenberg's men are ranked second in the Great Lakes Region, and the Tiger women are ranked 13th.
