Men's Track and Field Dominates at Wooster
Wooster, OH - Wittenberg Men's Track and Field traveled to Wooster to compete in the Wooster Invitational, where they took on Kenyon, Wooster and Ashland, and the Tigers took care of business in their first meet of calendar year 2026 with an impressive first-place finish. The Tigers finished with 118.50 points, Wooster took second with 82.50, the Owls were in third with 65, and a limited Ashland squad was able to accumulate seven. The Tigers dominated the field by winning nine of the 15 total events.
Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH / Springfield) led the Tigers on the track, taking first place in not only the 60 meters, but the 200 meters as well with times of 7.05 and 22.48, respectively, to set an indoor personal best in both. Following Elliott, Mason Duncan (Cardington, OH / Highland) won the 400 meters in a time of 53.51. In the 60 meter hurdles, Kory Davis (Brookville, OH / Brookville) added to the Tigers' top finished in only 8.66 seconds. The 4x400-meter relay team added another Wittenberg finish to the top of the leaderboard as Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls), Owen Bier (Elyria, OH / Midview), Xavier Allen (Tipp City, OH / Tippecanoe) and Omega Waller (Canal Winchester, OH / Independence) combined for a time of 3:32.24.
Wittenberg's field athletes had an outstanding day as well, beginning with Matthew Keaton (Westerville, OH / North), who won the pole vault with a height of 4.25 meters to match his personal best, and Neal Godfrey (Columbus, OH / St. Francis DeSales), who took the long pump with a leap of 6.27 meters. AJ Sutherly (Marysville, OH / Marysville) closed out the number one finishes as he won the weight throw with a toss of 14.93 meters for a new personal best.
Top Three Finishes
- Nate Warburton (Jensen Beach, FL / Jensen Beach) finished second in the 60 meters in 7.14.
- Toriano Johnson (Loveland, OH / Kings) took third in the 60 meters with a time of 7.20.
- Johnson also took second in the 200 meters in 23.31.
- Adam Veotte (Cincinnati, OH / Sycamore) finished in second in to 400 meters in 54.04.
- Allen finished the 800 meters in 2:09.01 for third place.
- Nicolas Farfoglia (Manchester, MD / Manchester Valley) took second in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.12.
- Waller was third in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.57.
- Jeremiah Owusu (Columbus, OH / Thomas Worthington) was third in the high jump at 1.75 meters.
- Farfoglia took second in the pole vault at 4.10 meters for a new personal best.
- Zachary Callahan (Lebanon, OH / Lebanon) was third in the pole vault with a height of 3.90 meters.
- Joelon Lyons (Sidney, OH / Sidney) took second in the long jump with a leap of 5.98 meters.
- Shareef Conateh (Columbus, OH / Home School) was second in the triple jump at 11.87 meters.
- Daniel Walker (Milford, OH / Milford) finished second in the shot put with a toss of 12.72 meters.
- DaVonte Dungy (Indianapolis, IN / Warren Central) was third in the shot put with a distance of 12.26 meters.
- Max Green (Centerville, OH / Centerville) took second in the weight throw at 14.66 meters.
- Walker was third in the weight throw at 14.37 meters.
