Kittle, Davis, Elliott Earn NCAA Indoor Championships Berths
SPRINGFIELD, OH - After a tremendous 2025-26 indoor season highlighted by numerous school records and four fun-filled home meets in The Steemer, Wittenberg Men's Track & Field has advanced a trio of student-athletes to the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships March 13-14 at Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama.
Sophomore Jack Kittle (Chagrin Falls, OH / Chagrin Falls) and senior Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH / Springfield) will compete in the 400-meter dash and sophomore Kory Davis (Brookville, OH / Brookville) will compete in the 60-meter hurdles after all three Tigers finished the indoor season ranked among the top 20 nationally. Davis will participate in 60-meter hurdles prelims scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m. Friday, March 13, while Kittle and Elliott will participate in 400-meter dash prelims that begin at 3:25 p.m. Friday, March 13.
If Davis advances to the finals, he will run in a race scheduled for 11:10 a.m. Saturday, March 14. If Elliott and/or Kittle advance to the finals, the 400-meter dash will take place at 4:35 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
The NCAA championships indoor berths are the first in the collegiate careers of each of the three student-athletes. Kittle qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships in both the 200-meter dash and the 400-meter dash as a freshman, and he earned All-America honors after placing fifth in the 400.
Kittle was the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Newcomer and Sprinter/Hurdler Athlete of the Year at both the Indoor and Outdoor Championship meets in 2025, and he has continued to excel in his sophomore campaign. He earned three All-NCAC awards at the 2026 NCAC Indoor Championships with a second-place finish in the 400 and a second-place finish in the 200, in addition to the winning 4x400-meter relay.
Elliott also earned a trio of All-NCAC awards at the 2026 NCAC Indoor Championships, thanks to a third-place finish in the 200 and a stellar leg of the first-place 4x400-meter relay. The highlight of the weekend came in the 400 as Elliott won the event by a mere .01 over Kittle as both runners broke the school record. After collecting a host of All-NCAC awards in his intercollegiate track career, Elliott finally took an individual league honor as he was named NCAC Indoor Sprinter/Hurdler Athlete of the Year.
Davis bounced back from an injury-riddled freshman season to break his own school record in the 60-meter hurdles twice, most recently at Ohio Northern's Polar Bear Final Qualifier on March 7. He earned All-NCAC honors with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles, and he also contributed a strong leg to the winning 4x400-meter relay.
Elliott ranks first in the Great Lakes Region and third in all of NCAA Division III in the 400 with a time of 47.07 heading into the national championships, followed closely by Kittle, who ranks second in the region and fourth nationally with a time of 47.08. Davis ranks second in the region and 13th in the nation with a time of 8.09.
