Six Tigers Named All-Academic Athletes by USTFCCCA

NEW ORLEANS, LA - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2026 All-Academic Track and Field Athletes and Teams. Six Tigers earned individual All-Academic honors while the women’s team earned All-Academic team honors.

Two of the individuals to be honored are from the women’s team: senior Abbey Danne (Johnstown, OH / Big Walnut) and freshman Rebekah Case (Mansfield, OH / Lucas ). Four individuals from the Tiger men’s team were honored as well: graduate student Cameron Elliott (Springfield, OH / Springfield), junior Nick Farfoglia (Manchester, MD / Manchester Valley), freshman Antonio Weaver (Columbus, OH / Independence), and junior Lukas Rieben (Clayton, OH / Northmont).

To earn All-Academic honors from the USTFCCCA as an individual, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher and finish among the top 50 individuals on the descending order list on TFRRS or have competed in national championships.

Wittenberg women’s team earned All-Academic Team recognition, after compiling a cumulative GPA of 3.36 for the 2025-26 school year. To earn the recognition, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.1 or higher by all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility.

The 2025-26 season was another outstanding one for Wittenberg Track & Field, highlighted by strong finishes in both the indoor and outdoor North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) championship events. The men's team placed first in the indoor championships and second in the outdoor competition, while the women were fourth in the indoor and fifth in the outdoor championships. More than a dozen athletes across the entire program claimed postseason awards, including all-conference, all-region, and All-America honors, and the Tiger men placed in the top 25 in both the NCAA Division III Indoor and Outdoor Championships.
