Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger softball team split their midweek series with the Muskingum University Muskies on Wednesday afternoon. Wittenberg fell in game one, 8-1, posting just two hits. The Tigers bounced back in game two, securing their third win of the season with a 1-0 win.
It was a scoreless battle in the second game, with Wittenberg scoring the lone run in the bottom of the sixth inning. The Tigers posted five hits in the second game. Audrey Robinson came up with the clutch sacrifice fly, driving in Julia Burch for the eventual winning run.
Kira van Ravensberg earned her second win of the season, tossing seven innings pitched, with six hits allowed and two strikeouts.
