Giel's Big Weekend at the Dish Leads to Athlete of the Week Recognition

Junior infielder Bekah Giel (Amelia, OH/West Clermont) powered the Tigers to a 4-0 weekend that helped move the team atop the NCAC standings with a doubleheader sweep of Wooster (6-2, 3-1) . Giel batted .636 (7-for-11) with four runs scored, 10 RBI, two doubles, a triple, and four stolen bases in four games. She delivered key hits throughout the weekend, including a bases-clearing double in a run-rule win over Otterbein (13-2) and a decisive RBI double and stolen base in a 3-2 victory earlier in the series. Against the Fighting Scots, she went 3-for-5, producing one triple, three stolen bases, three RBI and two scored runs.
