The Wittenberg University women’s basketball team gave top-seeded and No. 19 DePauw all it could handle in the semifinals of the 2019 NCAC Women’s Basketball Tournament, but ultimately the Indiana Tigers came away with a 57-48 victory over Wittenberg on Friday night inside the Neal Fieldhouse.

Paced by a 54-point showing in the first half, the Wittenberg University women’s basketball team cruised to an 87-49 victory at Wooster on Saturday afternoon in Timken Gymnasium. The Tigers now enter the final week of the regular season with a 10-5 mark in NCAC play, which puts them right in the mix to land one of the coveted top four seeds in the 2019 NCAC Tournament.

The Wittenberg women’s basketball team picked up their fifth-straight win, downing the Gators of Allegheny College, 97-51. The Tigers finished with four players scoring in double-figures, led by Kristie Kalis pacing the offensive effort for the second day in a row with a season-high 24 points on a season-high 78 percent shooting mark from the field, as she converted on 11-of-14 attempts from the floor. Wittenberg moves to 9-5 on the season and 3-2 in North Coast Athletic Conference action.
