Women Picked to Finish Fourth in NCAC Preseason Poll

Cleveland, OH - The North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) released the 2025-26 Women's Basketball Preseason Coaches Poll on Wednesday. Wittenberg was picked to finish fourth in the conference, behind DePauw, Denison and John Carroll.
The Tigers received 38 total points. DePauw, coming off their conference tournament win last season, took first with five first-place votes and 58 total points, while Denison received three first-place votes and totaled 53 points. John Carroll was picked third, trailing Denison by only one point with 52.
Last season, the Tigers finished 18-10 overall and third in the conference (8-6) to make the NCAC tournament, where they defeated Ohio Wesleyan in the semifinals before falling to DePauw in the championship game.
Led by third-year head coach Melissa Kolbe, the Tigers open their 2025-26 season in a neutral site game, as they take on Christopher Newport at Wilmington on Nov. 8 with their home opener against Ohio Northern on Dec. 6. Wittenberg opens NCAC play on the road against Kenyon on Dec. 4.
