Duo of Tigers Earn All-NCAC Recognition
Cleveland, OH - Two athletes from the Wittenberg women's basketball team earned All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors after a season in which they reach the NCAC Tournament.
Sophomore wing Molly Mossing (Cedarville, OH / Cedarville) was named to the second team and senior wing Karsen Karlblom (Crystal Lake, IL / Prairie Ridge) recognized with third team honors. With her selection, Karlblom earned her second all-conference honors in as many seasons and Mossing earned the first selection of her career.
This season, Karlblom led the Tigers in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game while leading the team in three point percentage, shooting 41% from beyond the arc. She also was second on the team in total assists and third in rebounds. Karlblom finished ninth in the conference in points per game and shooting percentage, while also taking third in three-point percentage and made threes per game. Karlblom had her best scoring game against Webster, when she dropped her season-high 26 points, one of her six 20+ point performances. Her season high in rebounds was 10, reaching that mark against both Capital and Ohio Wesleyan.
Mossing was right behind Karlblom in scoring, with 12.2 points per game, while she led the team in shooting percentage, going 45.3% from the field. Mossing also led the team in total rebounds and shots made, while also being second in blocks and leading the team in field goal percentage. She finished seventh in the conference in field goal percentage on the season as well. Her scoring high this past season was 21 against John Carroll and logged another four games where she reached 20 points. Her season high in rebounds was fourteen against Wooster and had another two games where she reached double figures.
