Bowling Teams Compete in Local Roto Grip Classic
BEAVERCREEK, OH - Wittenberg's men's and women's club bowling teams competed in a local tournament – the Roto Grip Classic hosted by Wright State University – this past weekend, Nov. 8-9, at Beaver Vu Bowl.
The Tiger women put three bowlers in the top 30 of the individual standings, led by Kendall Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg) and Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg), who placed 16th and 18th, respectively, with a total of 732 and 730 pins. Sydney Wilson (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) wasn't too far behind, placing 27th with 704 pins. As a team, Wittenberg finished 10th out of 15 teams in the varsity competition, scoring 5,878. Wright State was first with a score of 7,091.
The Tiger men finished last in a field of 21, with Jackson Hill (New Carlisle, OH / Tecumseh) being their top finisher at 33rd overall with 832 pins. He was followed by Jacob Terpenning (Beavercreek, OH / Beavercreek) in 76th and Landon Kegley (Springfield, OH / Northwestern) in 132nd. Vincennes University won the tournament with a score of 7,801.
Next up for Wittenberg Men's and Women's Bowling is the Ohio Bowling Conference on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the Columbus Square Bowling Palace.
