Bowling Teams Compete in Ohio Bowling Conference 2
COLUMBUS, OH - Wittenberg's men's and women's club bowling teams competed in their second conference tournament of the season. Both teams turned in a good showing at the Ohio Bowling Conference 2 at Columbus Square Bowling Palace on Saturday, Nov. 15.
The men's team placed 19th in a 20-team field, scoring a total of 2,039, with Jacob Terpenning (Beavercreek, OH / Beavercreek) capturing a top 30 placement at 28th overall with 604 pins in the varsity competition. Jackson Hill (New Carlisle, OH / Tecumseh) was second for Wittenberg's men in 41st place with 567 pins. He was followed by Landon Kegley (Springfield, OH / Northwestern) in 52nd place with 532 pins, Amen Traudt (Catawba, OH / Northeastern) was 59th with 506 pins, and Joel Martin (Dayton, OH / Trotwood Madison) was 76th with 387 pins. Ohio State won the tournament with a score of 2,494.
The Tiger women placed 10th out of 14 teams with 2,347 pins. They put two bowlers in the top 20 of the individual standings in Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg) and Kendall Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg), who placed 14th and 20th, respectively, with a total of 540 and 530 pins. Ryleigh Rasey (Richwood, OH / North Union) was 39th with 464 points, Sydney Wilson (Springfield, OH / Shawnee) placed 45th with 438 pins, and Grace Tyler (Christiansburg, OH / St. Paris Graham) was 51st at 375 pins. As a team, Wittenberg finished 10th out of 14 teams in the varsity competition, scoring 5,878. Wright State was first with a score of 7,091.
Next up, Wittenberg men's and women's bowling teams will be at the Glenn Carlson Invitational on Dec. 18, at South Point Bowling Plaza in Las Vegas, Nevada.
