Tigers Finish Eighth In Olivet Fall Invitational
For the second straight week, the Wittenberg Tigers performed well in a strong field of scholarship programs.
MARSHALL, Mich. — For the second straight week, the Wittenberg Tigers performed well in a strong field of scholarship programs, this time placing eighth among 15 teams at the Olivet Fall Invitational.
Playing without No. 1 player Anne Busam, the Tigers were paced by sophomore Nicole Momsen (Sylvania, Ohio/St. Ursula), who posted scores of 88 and 92, and freshmanJenna Lisic (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville), who posted scores of 93 and 87. Their totals of 180 put them in a tie for 28th place individually.
Sophomore Heather Hendrickson (Fort Wayne, Ind./Bishop Luers) was right behind with a two-day total of 181 after scores of 89 and 92. Freshman Meghann Greene (North Royalton, Ohio/Padua Franciscan) was next with a 187 (94 and 93), and sophomore Carrie Frey (Cincinnati, Ohio/McNicholas) rounded things out with a 188 (98 and 90).
The Tigers posted a team scores of 725. Hope College won the competition with a team score of 658.
