Tigers Take First at Adrian with Three Individual Top-10 Finishes
Tecumseh, MI-The Wittenberg women's golf team traveled to Tecumseh, Michigan, to compete in the Irish Hills Invitational, hosted by Adrian College. The Tigers finished first out of eight teams with a total of 663 strokes for a 91 over-par to take home the first place finish. Three Wittenberg golfers finished in the top ten to help the Tigers rise to the top of the leaderboard.
Finishing fourth overall was Anna Sinclair (Brownsburg, IN / Brownsburg) shot a first round 81 (+9) and stayed consistent in the second round with another 81 for a total of 162 (+18). Addie Yarbrough (Dublin, OH / Jerome) was tied for sixth overall as she carded a first round 81 (+9) and a second round 85 (+13) for a two-round total of 166 (+22). The last top ten finisher for the Tigers was Izzy Selby (Cincinnati, OH / Seton), who shot a total of 167 (+23) with a first round 83 (+11) and a second round 184 (+12). The fourth Tiger to finish and final scorer was Josie Adamson (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills) finishing tied for 11th. She shot a first round 93 (+21) and second round 79 (+7) for a total of 172 (+28). The fifth Tiger finisher was Taylor Rausch (Mechanicsburg, OH / Mechanicsburg), carding a first round 89 (+17) and a second round 93 (+21) for a total of 182 (+38).
Next up for the Tigers is the Kuhn Invitational, hosted by Allegheny College, in which Wittenberg will travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania on September 21 and 22.
