Tigers Host First Annual Pahhni Intercollegiate Invitational
Springfield, OH - The Wittenberg women's golf team hosted the Pahhni Intercollegiate Invitational at historic Springfield Country Club, the Tigers' home course. In a small field of six teams, Wittenberg finished fifth with a team score of 671, or 95 over par.
Denison took first with a total score of 606, good for 30 over par. Centre took second at 64 over par, and in third was Adrian with a score of 74 over par.
The top individual finisher for the Tigers was Izzy Selby (Cincinnati, OH / Seton), carding a first round 76 and second round 87 to finish 19 over par, tied for 14th place. The next finisher for the Tigers was Addie Yarbrough (Dublin, OH / Jerome). She shot a first round 83 and then an 80 in round two to be 19 over par and tied for 14th overall. Anna Sinclair (Brownsburg, IN / Brownsburg) was the third finisher for Wittenberg, finishing at 23 over par with a first round 84 and second round 83 to be tied for 19th. Fourth for the Tigers and tied for 34th overall, Rose Yancey (Westerville, OH / North) shot a first round 91 and second round 87 to finish 34 over par. The fifth finisher for the Tigers, in 38th was Josie Adamson (Cincinnati, OH / Oak Hills). She finished at 41 over par, carding a first round 92 and second round 93.
Next up, the Tigers will compete in the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships at Avalon Golf & Country Club in Warren, Ohio, May 1-3.
