Tigers Record Two Hat Tricks in Fifth Loss of Season
Sewanee, TN-An early lead was too much for the Tigers to come back from as they fell to Lake Forest by a score of 20-8 in their first of two Spring Break matchups in Tennessee.
Lake Forest started the contest by scoring five unaswered and Wittenberg closed the gap to three at one point, but every time the Tigers would score, the Foresters would just build on their lead even more.
Even though the Tigers came up short, junior Aubrey Stager (Saline, MI / Saline) and senior Jarya Hassell (Bellbrook, OH / Bellbrook) each scored their season-high three goals one five shots on goal to both lead the team. Sophia Meek (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy Orange) and Essence Wyse (Lewis Center, OH / Olentangy) added to the total, finding the back of the net once. Maren Raymond (Louisville, Ky / Ballard) was a phenominal facilitator on the offensive end, assisting on three of the Tigers' goals.In goal, Makenna Ricketts (Chardon, OH / Chardon) forced a barrage of Forester shots and came away with 13 saves in total.
With the loss, Wittenberg falls to 0-5 on the season and Lake Forest suprasses the .500 mark, improving to 2-1 on the season.
