Six Women's Soccer Players Earn CSC Academic All-District Honor

SPRINGFIELD, OH - Six Wittenberg women’s soccer players were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Soccer Academic All-District Team for the 2025 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.50 while meeting athletic participation requirements.
In soccer, student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches. Selected Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot (noted by asterisk on release from CSC). First-, Second-, and Third-Team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on December 17.
The six players that were selected are seniors Alex Hill (Powell, OH / Olentangy Liberty) and Leah Rocchetta (Fairfield, OH / Fairfield), juniorsAva Otey (Columbus, OH / Olentangy Orange) and Lily Winkle (Cynthiana, KY / Harrison County), and sophomores Sarah Deaton (Monroe, OH / Monroe) and Caroline Stupp (Waynesville, OH / Waynesville).
Hill, a forward, is a double major in business and sport management with a 3.97 GPA. She played in 15 games and started 14 of them. Her stats on the season include three goals and one assist for seven points. She registered 28 shots on the season, including 14 on goal. Hill was named second-team All-NCAC both her freshman and sophomore seasons, as well as her senior year. This is also the second time the Hill has been named Academic All-District in as many years.
Rocchetta, a defender, is a double major in exercise science and marketing with a 3.78 GPA. She played in 16 games and started 11 of them. For the season, Rocchetta tallied one assist while logging 12 shots, five of which on goal. As a member of the Tigers' defense, she played a key role in the five shutouts recorded by the team this past season.
Otey, listed on the roster as a forward who played several different positions in the 2025-26 season, is a biochemistry/molecular biology major with a 3.54 GPA. She started 15 games this season and played in all 16. On the season, Otey logged one goal to have two points. Otey was named second-team All-NCAC for her first all-conference honors of her career.
Winkle, a goalkeeper, is an honors student majoring in nursing with a 3.92 GPA. She started all 16 games for the Tigers and logged 67 saves on the season, resulting in six wins and five shutouts with a 1.10 goals against average.
Deaton, a forward, is a nursing major in the honors program and boasts a 3.96 GPA. She also started all 16 games for the Tigers. On the season, Deaton led both the Tigers and NCAC in goals with 9 and points with 20 as she added two assists. She logged a total of 48 shots, of which 31 were on goal. Deaton was named to her first all-conference team this season, as she was named first-team All-NCAC.
Stupp, a midfielder, is an exercise science major in the honors program with a 3.95 GPA. She started all 16 games in the Red and White for the Tigers. This season, she logged two goals for four points. Stupp earned second-team all-conference honors for the second year in a row.
The Tiger women’s soccer team finished sixth in the NCAC regular season standings with a 2-2-3 record, while going 6-3-7 overall.
