Swim and Dive Competes in Day Two of NCAC Championships
Granville, OH - After day two of the 2026 North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Championships, hosted by Denison, Wittenberg's women are in sixth place and the men currently sit in 9th. The women have a total of 226 points, with Kenyon in first with 719, followed by Denison with 602 and DePauw is in third with 475. The men have totaled 97 points and Denison is steadily in first with 708.5, as Kenyon sits in second with 597.5 while John Carroll is in third at 360 points.
The first swimmer to score for the Tigers was Annie Gammon (Cincinnati, OH / Cincinnati Country Day) as she finished the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:30.59, improving on her prelim time by more than two seconds. In the men's 200 yard individual medley, Aidan Dannenfelser (Cincinnati, OH / St. Xavier) finished in 2:17.93 to earn the first points of the day for the Tigers. In the women's 200-yard individual medley, two Wittenberg swimmers scored as Teagan O'Connor (Fort Wayne, IN / Carroll) took 16th with a time of 2:15.45 and Jade Paumi (Lexington, KY / Lafayette) improved on her prelim time to finish 25th in 2:24.39. Shania Stone (Cincinnati, OH / Princeton) took 13th in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.41 to add 17 points. Lilly Cook (Rensselaer, IN / Rensselaer Central) scored in the event, along with Bekah Lebold (Mount Vernon, OH / Mount Vernon) as well. In the one-meter diving competition, Kylie Paumi (Lexington, KY / Lafayette) placed 11th with a score of 181.15 to add another 19 points. The men's 400-yard medley relay team of Nathan Rabun (Marion, OH / Wynford), Mason Steen (Leroy, OH / Riverside), Tatum Paglia (Indianapolis, IN / Ben Davis) and Orry Farrington (Waterville, OH / Anthony Wayne) took 9th in a time of 3:54.39 to add another 48. The women's 400-yard medley relay team of Cook, Stone, O'Connor and McKenna Clark (Waynesville, OH / Carroll) placed fifth in a time of 4:01.50, to take two seconds off of their seed time.
The 2026 NCAC Swimming and Diving Championships will continue tomorrow, February 13, with prelims beginning at 9:30 AM and the final day of competition will be Saturday, February 14.
