Wittenberg Improves To 3-1 With Win Over Greensboro
The Wittenberg women's tennis team started spring break strong with a 6-3 win over Greensboro College, a southern NCAA Division III power.
SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Wittenberg women's tennis team started spring break strong with a 6-3 win over Greensboro College, a southern NCAA Division III power.
The Tigers received wins from the number two doubles team of Elizabeth Micheletti (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard West) andAllison Earhart (Yorktown, Ind./Yorktown), as well as victories in the number two, four and five spots in singles play.
Jayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington), Kat Sundstrom (Trafalgar, Ind./North Central) and Rachel Bundy (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) turned in those singles victories, respectively. Bundy and Sundstrom both won in straight 6-0 sets.
The win moves the Tiger women to 3-1 on the year, and they have the day off Tuesday before facing Gettysburg on Wednesday in continuing spring break action from Hilton Head, S.C.
