COLUMBUS, Ohio - Few teams in the entire region are playing better tennis than the Red and White after the Tigers rattled off another win with a 5-4 victory over Ohio Dominican. Wittenberg has not lost since February 21, a streak of seven consecutive wins.
Topping the Panthers, Wittenberg played its most tightly contested match of the year, with several gritty performances coming from Justin Stuckey's women. With the singles matches split down the middle, the Tigers claimed the win with strong doubles play, highlighted by an 8-6 third flight win for Jayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) and Jackie Stevens (Columbus, Ohio/Watterson).
Stevens also took the sixth flight singles match, 6-2, 6-2, to help solidify the win while Miely downed her two-singles opponent 6-2, 6-3.
The Tigers put their winning streak on the line when they play host to Walsh University this Friday, March 27 at 1 p.m.
