Tigers Drop Match To Stingy Denison
The Wittenberg women's tennis team traveled to Denison for a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match, but were unable to overcome a fierce Big Red team and fell to 8-6 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC West by a 9-0 score.

GRANVILLE, Ohio — The Wittenberg women's tennis team traveled to Denison for a North Coast Athletic Conference West Division match, but were unable to overcome a fierce Big Red team and fell to 8-6 overall and 0-1 in the NCAC West by a 9-0 score.
Denison, ranked sixth in the nation and second in the Great Lakes region according to the International Tennis Association, kept Wittenberg at bay. Junior Jayne Miely (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington) found the most success at No. 1 singles, falling 6-4 and 6-2.
The team of senior Sean Delaney (Powell, Ohio/Worthington Christian) and sophomore Maggie Stewart (Bay Village, Ohio/Magnificat) dropped an 8-6 decision at third doubles.
The Tigers take their home court on Saturday, April 3, in an 11 a.m. match with Huntington.
