News Release: Ed Charney Wins Inaugural Tennis Fundraiser Tournament

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio — Wittenberg University's men's and women's tennis teams hosted the first-ever fundraiser tournament Oct. 23 and 24, 2009, at the David B. and Georgiana S. Albright Tennis Complex. Associate Professor of Art Ed Charney emerged victorious in the three-round competition, defeating Andrew Young, class of 2009, in the championship match.

Wittenberg University's men's and women's tennis teams hosted the first-ever fundraiser tournament Oct. 23 and 24, 2009, at the David B. and Georgiana S. Albright Tennis Complex.

Associate Professor of Art Ed Charney emerged victorious in the three-round competition, defeating Andrew Young, class of 2009, in the championship match. All proceeds raised from the event will go toward the teams' annual Spring Break. In 2010, that trip takes place March 7-13, with Hilton Head, SC, the destination.
