GRANVILLE, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers dropped a 5-0 decision to 26th-ranked North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) West foe Denison to fall to 6-8 overall and 0-3 in the division.
Thanks to snowfall and unseasonably cold temperatures, the match had to be played indoors in Denison's Mitchell Fieldhouse. With both the men and women scheduled to play, the teams agreed to play both matches to decision instead of completion.
The matches started with singles instead of the customary three doubles matches. Denison dominated the singles competition, winning matches at the first five positions to end the match.
Denison improved to 9-7 overall and 2-0 in the NCAC West.
